What connecting does

When you connect ChatGPT or Claude to your NordicHost account, the AI can read your account's details and help you look after your services. It sees only what you can see on the account, and you can disconnect it at any time.

For example, the AI can:

  • read your services, domains, invoices and AI-built websites
  • check domain availability and prices
  • put together a cart that you review and pay yourself in NordicHost
  • search and read the guides in this knowledge base.

If you allow it when connecting, it can also publish and update your AI-built websites, add domains, databases and new environment variables, and read logs. It can't place an order or pay on your behalf, delete anything, or see passwords or the values of variables.

Before you start

  1. Open the MCP server page in the panel.
  2. Copy the server address from the page: https://panel.nordichost.fi/api/mcp.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. In the ChatGPT app's settings, open the developer section and add a new MCP server.
  2. Name it NordicHost, choose streamable HTTP as the type and paste the server address.
  3. Leave the other fields empty and save. Signing in happens through NordicHost.
  4. Sign in when the app asks, and allow the connection on the NordicHost page that opens.

In the browser, NordicHost is added as an app in developer mode.

Connect Claude

  1. In Claude's settings, open connectors and add a custom connector.
  2. Name it NordicHost, paste the server address and continue.
  3. Leave the sign-in settings as they are, add the connector and connect. Then allow the connection on the NordicHost page that opens.
  4. In a chat, turn NordicHost on from the plus menu.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an organisation owner first adds the connector in the organisation's settings. You can add NordicHost to Claude Code with one command, which you'll find on the MCP server page.

Managing connections

On the MCP server page you can see the connected AIs and the changes they have made, change their permissions or disconnect them. Your account's email gets a message whenever an AI is allowed to manage your AI-built websites. If you don't recognise a connection, disconnect it right away and secure your account.
