Before you start

Sign in to a GitHub account that can access the repository. An organization repository may require approval from an organization owner. Connect private repositories through your GitHub account; the public repository URL field does not grant access to them.

Connect the repository

  1. Open the website's Settings → Source and build, or the new website form.
  2. Choose From your GitHub → Connect GitHub.
  3. On GitHub, choose the correct personal account or organization and grant NordicHost access to the required repository.
  4. Return to the dashboard and select the repository and branch. For an existing website, Save and deploy applies the new source and starts deployment.
  5. Check Settings → Deploy automatically on GitHub push. When enabled, a push to the selected branch starts deployment. Detecting changes to a repository connected through its public URL takes longer.

If the repository is missing

Select Edit on GitHub in the repository picker, grant access to the repository, then return and select Refresh list. Check the search field and GitHub account as well. Use Add another GitHub account or organization when the code belongs to another account.

If the connection is suspended, enable the installation again on GitHub. If approval is pending, an organization owner must approve the request first.

Verify deployment

Push a small, intentional change to the selected branch and follow Deploys. Compare its commit identifier with GitHub. Do not include a personal GitHub token or password in a support request.
