What are you setting up?

This guide covers the Gmail mobile app. Your mailbox stays with NordicHost and the app connects using IMAP. You need your full email address, mailbox password and the hostnames from Email Accounts > Connect Devices in cPanel.

Add another email account

  1. Open Gmail, tap your profile picture and choose Add another account > Other. Do not choose Google or Microsoft 365 for a NordicHost IMAP mailbox.
  2. Enter your full email address. On Android, choose Personal (IMAP) if asked for the account type.
  3. Enter your mailbox password. Set the incoming hostname, port 993 and SSL/TLS security.
  4. Configure the outgoing hostname, enable sign-in and use your full email address as the username.
  5. Use SMTP port 465 with SSL/TLS, or the 587 / STARTTLS combination offered in your service settings.
  6. Choose synchronization preferences and a sender display name. iPhone screens can differ from Android; use the same server settings.

Check the sender address

Send a test message and make sure your NordicHost address is selected as the sender. The reply should appear in both the Gmail app and Roundcube.

For certificate warnings, check the hostname on the Connect Devices page. Do not change the security type to None. Importing other accounts in Gmail's browser version is a different feature and is outside this guide.
